REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS
CONSULTANT SERVICES 

SDOT 15-123 Madison Bus Rapid Transit Community Outreach

The City of Seattle, through Seattle Department of Transportation, requests Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified engineering firms for SDOT 15-123 Madison Bus Rapid Transit Community Outreach. 

The purpose of the Madison Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project is to improve transit capacity, travel time, reliability, connectivity, comfort, visibility and legibility in the Madison corridor, while also making related improvements to pedestrian and bicycle access as well as the streetscape and public realm.

The City expects to achieve the following outcomes through this consultant solicitation:

  • The most qualified CONSULTANT to perform the community outreach services for Madison BRT design and construction project within the constraints of future federal grant conditions and the project’s timeframe.

Expected costs: community outreach during design, $250,000 – $650,000; community outreach during construction, $250,000 – $650,000.

Estimated Notice-to-proceed for the community outreach services is expected to be First Quarter of 2016, with construction starting in the Second Quarter of 2017, finishing in 2019.

NOTE: YOU MUST FORMALLY REGISTER AT EBID IF YOU WISH TO RECEIVE ADDENDUMS.

The RFQ includes a more detailed Scope of Work, administrative requirements such as selection process, schedule, contract boilerplate, etc.

Submittals must be received by the Seattle Department of Transportation, Attention:  Pamela Garcia, 700 Fifth Avenue, Suite 3800, P. O. Box 34996, Seattle, Washington  98124-4996 by 4:00 p.m., December 10, 2015. 

Any questions regarding this RFQ may be submitted via eBid eXchange.  Response to questions will be provided via eBid Addendum. 

The City of Seattle in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.
