Seattle Public Utilities Large On-call Program

For over ten years Seattle Public Utilities has developed and administered the Large On-Call Consultant Contract Program.  The current Large On-Call Contracts will expire on 12/31/2011.

SPU will not continue the Large On-Call program once the current contracts expire.  But, SPU will continue to develop On-Call Consultant contracts where there is a need.

Some of the examples where a need may exist for an On-Call Contract are:

• Project Specific – where services are known in advance for a project but the timing or extent of the services is not yet known.
• Skill Specific – to procure a particular type of service that cannot be performed by existing staff.
• Small Projects – to procure services to support small projects.
• Rapid Response Services – to procure services to provide rapid response to unforeseen issues.
