RFP Evaluation: 02/21/12
The RFP evaluation for the Magnuson Park Electrical System Renovation is complete and Sparling has been selected as the design consultant.  One proposal was submitted on 2/15/13 in response to the Request for Proposals.  This submittal was made by Sparling and met the criteria of the Request.  Thank you for your interest in this project.

Scope of Work: The Seattle Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a qualified consultant Engineer to perform design services for the Magnuson Electrical System Renovation Project.  This project renovates the electrical system, including updating the old Navy 4KV system to the Seattle City Light 26KV system, and related work. It will help bring the system up to current standards and make it easier for the co-location of Parks and non-Parks tenants and users.  The work implements the Primary Electrical Distribution Overview, January 2013, by Sparling (Please see attachment at City’s Consultant Opportunities site).  Work to include: 

  • Design Development plans, outline technical specifications and construction cost estimate:  Twenty (20 ) calendar days after the consultant contract has been executed.
     
  • 65% Construction Document plans, technical specifications index, construction cost estimate (both hard and electronic copies), and written responses to the City’s Design Development comments: Fifteen (15) calendar days after the Design Development Phase has been approved.
     
  • 95% Construction Document plans, complete technical specifications, construction cost estimate (both hard and electronic copies), and written responses to the City’s 65% Construction Document comments: Fifteen (15) calendar days after the 65% Construction Document Submittal has been approved.
     
  • Completed (100%) Construction Document plans, technical specifications, construction cost estimate (both hard and electronic copies), and written responses to the City’s 95% Construction Document comments: Ten (10) calendar days after the 95% Construction Document Submittal has been approved.
     
  • Revision to completed (100%) Construction Document plans, Project Manual (City  boilerplate and technical specifications), updated cost estimate (both hard and electronic copies), and written responses to the City’s Construction Document comments: Five (5) calendar days after the completed  Construction Documents have been approved.
