Dear Consultant:  

The City of Seattle, Seattle Department of Transportation is currently advertising a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Construction Management Services for the Elliott Bay Seawall Project.  The advertisement and full RFQ package are located on the E-bid Exchange website at www.ebidexchange.com/seattle; click on the “solicitations” tab to access this bid. You must complete a free registration first in order to open the RFQ documents.

The advertisement period opened Yesterday, March  12, 2013 and will close on Thursday, April 4, 2013.  The total cost for this consultant contract is estimated to be between $12 – $16 million.

I wanted to personally invite you and or your members to a Pre-Submittal Conference on March 18^th from 3:00PM to 4:00PM  in SMT room 1610. The Pre-Submittal Conference will provide an opportunity to learn more about the project.  In addition, WMBEs and small businesses can meet other consultants who are considering teaming opportunities as part of their submittal. Your attendance would go a long way to ensure full participation from our consultant community.

Deputy Mayor Darryl Smith has agreed to attend so please join us to learn more about this exciting project and possible contracting opportunities.
