On-Call Executive Leadership Recruitment

 

The City of Seattle, Seattle City Light Department (“SCL”), seeks to engage a consultant to provide consulting services is below as the following:

The City of Seattle City Light (SCL) is requesting Statements of Qualifications & Project Approach (SOQPAs) from qualified consultants to perform a comprehensive search to recruit for leadership level positions at City Light’s request. Work to be performed under this contract will be intermittent (On-Call basis) in nature, with work assigned to the Consultant as required by City Light. Tasks include, but may not be limited to the following:

  • Developing a position profile, recruitment plan, and timeline.
  • Conducting outreach and recruitment activities.
  • Evaluation and summary of overall assessment of vetted candidates (Candidate Profile).
  • Presentation of written summary of overall assessment (Candidate Profile).
  • Reference checks on chosen candidates (TBD)

The term of the contract shall extend from the date of execution by the Superintendent of Seattle City Light, or designee, through December 31, 2015. City Light has not identified a budget for this project, but estimates the total contract amount to be $250,000.00. SCL may award this contract to 1 or more firms.

SCL, may at its option amend the original contract for scope, time, and funding, subject to the continuing appropriation authority by the Seattle City Council.

The City’s proposed schedule is outlined in the RFQ.

The contract that is awarded as a result of this RFP will be awarded in a manner that will comply with all applicable laws of the United States, State of Washington, the City Charter, and Ordinances of the City of Seattle.

“WOMEN AND MINORITY AFFIRMATIVE EFFORTS REQUIREMENTS: All proposals are required to meet the Affirmative Efforts requirements as specified in the RFQ/RFP. An Outreach Plan will be required for the top rated consultant(s).”
