The City of Seattle, Seattle City Light Department (“SCL”), seeks to engage a consultant to provide consulting services
SCL is seeking qualified firms to provide the following:
Seattle City Light (SCL) is seeking assistance with design, installation and maintenance of passive induction transponder (PIT) tag antennae arrays and associated equipment in the tributaries to the Pend Oreille River in North-Eastern Washington. This work will support ongoing fisheries monitoring requirements of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) license associated with the Boundary Hydroelectric Project (FERC Project No. 2144) issued March 20th, 2013. Specifically, the information developed will contribute to the detailed characterization of population structure, patterns of movement, distribution and abundance of co-occurring stocks in the project area.
The term of the contract shall extend from the date of execution by the General Manager & Chief Executive Officer of Seattle City Light, or designee, through June 30, 2017. City Light has not identified a budget for this project.
SCL, may at its option amend the original contract for scope, time, and funding, subject to the continuing appropriation authority by the Seattle City Council.

The City’s proposed schedule is outlined in the RFP.
The contract that is awarded as a result of this RFP will be awarded in a manner that will comply with all applicable laws of the United States, State of Washington, the City Charter, and Ordinances of the City of Seattle.
“WOMEN AND MINORITY AFFIRMATIVE EFFORTS REQUIREMENTS: All proposals are required to meet the Affirmative Efforts requirements as specified in the RFQ/RFP. An Outreach Plan will be required for the top rated consultant(s).”
