REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS

Project: SDOT 14-019 CENTRAL WATERFRONT PROJECT
MARION STREET PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE
The City of Seattle, through Seattle Department of Transportation, requests Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified engineering firms for SDOT 14-019 Central Waterfront Project Marion Street Pedestrian Bridge.
This contract is estimated to be up to from $1,750,000 to $3,250,000 with the time of performance expected to be between September 2014 and December 2017. The Scope of Work will be completed in phases. Additional phases will be subject to satisfactory performance by the consultant in each phase. Additional phases and/or other related work may be added by amendment(s) to the original agreement for this work.
SDOT’s goal is to retain a competent and creative team to design an iconic structure to replace the existing Marion Street Pedestrian Bridge. The design of the new structure would embrace the guiding principles that were developed to capture the key civic goals and objectives that will shape the creation of new public spaces on the Central Waterfront. This RFQ is focused on two key components of the team, the architect and the structural engineer(s). The Request for SOQ’s packet includes a more detailed Scope of Work, administrative requirements such as subconsulting, insurance, selection process, schedule, etc.
SOQ’s must be received by the Seattle Department of Transportation, Attention: Sonia Palma 700 Fifth Avenue, Suite 3800, P. O. Box 34996, Seattle, Washington 98124-4996 by 4:00 p.m., August 29, 2014.
