REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS
CONSULTANT SERVICES
Project: SDOT 15-004 – NE 45th Street Viaduct East Approach Seismic Design
The City of Seattle, through Seattle Department of Transportation, requests Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified engineering firms for SDOT 15-004 NE 45th Street Viaduct East Approach Seismic Design.
This contract is estimated to be approximately $750,000-$950,000 with the time of performance expected to be between May 2015 and approximately December 2016. The project will be conducted in three (3) phases with the potential for a fourth phase to provide services during construction.
This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to identify a Consultant Team that would be retained to define the seismic vulnerability and eventually develop the final construction documents for the recommended seismic retrofits for the NE 45th Street East Approach, which had recently been awarded grant funds from the Bridge Replacement Advisory Committee (BRAC). The proposed consultant services will include, but are not be limited to, the preparation of a modified type, size and location (TS&L) study including a comprehensive Seismic Retrofit Concept Design Report to provide recommendations for addressing the seismic vulnerability of the bridge.

The Request for SOQ’s packet includes a more detailed Scope of Work, administrative requirements such as subconsulting, insurance, selection process, schedule, etc.
