NOTICE TO CONSULTANTS
Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for SPU On-Call Engineering Services
SPU RFQ/Contract# 15-189-S
The City of Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is requesting qualifications from qualified consultants to support and supplement the work of the SPU Capital Improvement Project (CIP) Design Section in providing engineering services for CIP project delivery and project support across the Drainage and Wastewater and Water Line of Business (LOB). The contract work is on an as-needed basis and is separate from work that is under contract with others.
SPU will procure one or more separate contracts for consultant teams to provide engineering design support during options analysis, design and/or construction phases to supplement the section’s technical skill sets during peak work load to meet work demands and to provide complementary technical skill sets to complete in-house design work related to water, drainage and waste water design.
The work is on-call and will be assigned via Work Assignments estimated to range between $10,000 and $150,000 per each Work Assignment. The total of all work assigned under all contracts is up to $3.5 million total for a period of three and up to five years.

A SPU Pre-Submittal Conference for prospective bidders will be held on Tuesday, February 9 2016 in Conference Room SMT 1600 (16th Floor) of the Seattle Municipal Tower Building, 700 Fifth Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Seattle Public Utilities will review the scope of work, consultant expectations, and answer questions from the prospective bidders. Time will be allocated for prospective bidders to network with each other and discuss teaming arrangements. Although attendance to this meeting is not mandatory, attendance is highly encouraged.
