REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS #CR2016-006
For
SYSTEMS OPERATION CENTER SEISMIC EVALUATION AND DESIGN
The City of Seattle, Seattle City Light Department (“SCL”), seeks to engage a consultant who has the knowledge, essential skills, strong record and experience in comprehensive seismic studies and the ability to utilize the existing seismic studies to develop a comprehensive seismic mitigation design.
SCL is seeking firms with the following minimum qualifications:
a. Prime Consultant Firm must demonstrate that they have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in Seismic Evaluation.
b. Consultant’s Project Manager and Lead Engineers must demonstrate that they are licensed in the state of WA. (Copy of License and Resume Required)
c. Prime Consultant Firm must provide three (3) business references from successfully completed seismic evaluation projects.
d. Prime Consultant Firm must demonstrate that they have successfully completed three (3) seismic evaluation projects of similar size and scope for private or government agencies within the last 10 years.
The term of the contract shall extend from the date of execution by the General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of Seattle City Light, or designee, through July 15, 2018. City Light has identified a budget for this project of $230,000.
SCL may, at its option, amend the original contract for scope, time, and funding, subject to the continuing appropriation authority by the Seattle City Council.

Proposals (3 copies) must be delivered by 3:00pm PST on March 8, 2016. Delivery instructions are contained in the RFQ.
The contract that is awarded as a result of this RFQ will be awarded in a manner that will comply with all applicable laws of the United States, State of Washington, the City Charter, and Ordinances of the City of Seattle.
