Title: 17-110: Seismic Improvements Structural Services
The City of Seattle, through Seattle Department of Transportation, requests Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified firms for SDOT solicitation
Title: 17-110: Seismic Improvements Structural Services.
The Move Seattle Levy program will improve up to 16 bridges as allowed by available funding. Of these 16 bridges, 5 of them are in various stages of planning or design work, performed by others.
This Request for Qualification (RFQ) is to allow the City to identify up to six of the most qualified design consultants to evaluate and develop final construction documents for the remaining 11 bridges, which will be packed into 6 contracts.
The primary project objective is to evaluate and recommend seismic retrofit alternatives that will reduce the seismic vulnerability of the bridges. The final preferred seismic retrofit design alternative(s) shall also consider the following at a minimum:
- Economic cost of the retrofit
- Aesthetics
- Construction duration
- Potential vehicular and pedestrian traffic impacts during constructionMore details are available in the RFQ.
