SOLID WASTE FACILITIES TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND DESIGN SERVICES
SPU RFQ/Contract# 18-016-S

 Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) owns and maintains two modern Solid Waste Transfer Stations and is in the process of developing a stand-alone Recycling Facility. SPU anticipates the need for engineering services to further define the scope of facility improvement projects, develop project implementation plans, and prepare construction bid documents. The work under this contract will include, but is not limited to, preliminary engineering, operations support, programming, sequencing, phasing, budgeting, scheduling, quality assurance / quality control, design, and construction support. This is a multi-year on-call contract. A specific deliverable schedule is not known at this time. The contract is intended to be a five-year contract. The estimated 5-year (2018-2023) cost of this contract is a maximum of $1,000,000.

The deadline for submitting Qualifications is 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at the 50^th Floor, Seattle Municipal Tower, 700 Fifth Avenue, P.O. Box 34018, Seattle, WA 98104-4018.

SPU PRE-SUBMITTAL CONFERENCE: A pre-submittal conference will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2018, in Conference Room SMT 4901 (49^th Floor) of the Seattle Municipal Tower Building, 700 Fifth Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104 from 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM. Seattle Public Utilities will review the scope of work, consultant expectations, and answer questions from the prospective bidders. Time will be allocated for prospective bidders to network with each other and discuss teaming arrangements. Although attendance at this meeting is not mandatory, attendance is highly encouraged.

Written questions related to this RFQ are encouraged and shall be directed to Sher Arciniega, Contract Administrator & SPU’s designated contact person, at sherry.arciniega@seattle.gov . In order to facilitate preparation of responses to questions, please submit questions by no later than 3:00 PM on Thursday, September 13, 2018. All responses to questions will be issued to all RFQ recipients in the form of an addendum to this RFQ. Addenda will be posted at https://www.ebidexchange.com/seattle.
