REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS
CONSULTANT SERVICES

Project: 19-053: Seattle Streetcar Vehicle Interface Design for  South Lake Union

The City of Seattle, through its Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT), requests statement of qualifications (SOQ) from engineering consulting firms to provide consulting services for engineering analysis and prepare plans, specifications, and estimates for modifications to station platforms and tail tracks on the existing South Lake Union and First Hill streetcar lines, modifications to the operations and maintenance facility, and structural elements of bridges on Jackson Street between Second Ave Extension S and Fifth Ave S to integrate with future streetcar vehicles in the City of Seattle (the Project). Experience with Federal Transit Administration requirements and processes, as well as historic preservation expertise, is required. Work will be coordinated with the current design and updates to the design for the Center City Connector Streetcar Project.

The estimated cost of this work is $2.5 to $3.5 million.

The following meetings are scheduled to provide more information about the project;

Optional Pre-Submittal Conference Room 1610, Seattle Municipal Tower 700 Fifth Avenue, Seattle 98104 9/27/2019 10:00 a.m. to noon
Optional Site Visit South Lake Union Operations and Maintenance Facility 318 Fairview Avenue North, Seattle 98109 (Closed-toe shoes or boots required) 9/27/19 1:30 – 3:00 p.m.

The Request for SOQ’s packet includes a more detailed Scope of Work, administrative requirements such as sub-consulting, insurance, selection process, schedule, etc.

SOQ’s must be received by the Seattle Department of Transportation, Attention:  Dominic Kirangi 700 Fifth Avenue, Suite 3800, P. O. Box 34996, Seattle, Washington 98124-4996 by 4:00 p.m.,  October 18, 2019.

Any questions regarding this Request for SOQ’s must be submitted via eBid eXchange. Response to questions will be provided via eBid.
