REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS
CONSULTANT SERVICES

Project:  SDOT 19-090 MADISON STREET BUS RAPID TRANSIT (BRT) PROJECT – CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES

The City of Seattle, through Seattle Department of Transportation, requests Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified engineering firms for SDOT 19-090 Madison Street Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project – Construction Management Services.

This contract is estimated to be $6.9 Million.  This is anticipated to be a multi-year contract, for approximately 4 years. 

The Madison Street BRT Project will construct infrastructure for a Bus Rapid Transit network from 1st Ave to Martin Luther King Jr via Madison Street and Spring Street. Proposed work includes construction of new stations, overhead trolley system installation and modification, pavement restoration, traffic signal installations and modifications and other project elements.  The project is anticipated to require 2 full time Assistant Resident Engineers, 4 Construction Inspectors, 1 quarter time Environmental Compliance Inspector, 1 quarter time Schedule Review Expert and 2 full time Office Engineer/Document Control Specialists to provide Construction Management (CM) services on Madison Street BRT project. These staff will support SDOT’s internal CM staff, which is led by the SDOT Construction Engineer.  The support services may include work performed during pre-construction, construction, and post construction phases.

Work will be accomplished in accordance with the FTA reviewed project Plans and Specifications advertised for construction and this consultant contract will be FTA funded.

The Request for SOQ’s packet includes a more detailed Scope of Work, administrative requirements such as sub-consulting, insurance, selection process, schedule, etc.

Any questions regarding this Request for SOQ’s may be submitted via Procureware.  Response to questions will be provided via Procureware.
