N THORNTON NDS DESIGN & PROJECT SUPPORT
SPU RFP/Contract# 20-099-S

The City of Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is requesting proposals from qualified consultants to provide expertise in professional design and other project delivery support services required to deliver the North Thornton Natural Drainage Systems (NDS) project (“the Project”). SPU plans to execute a phased consulting services contract (“the Contract”) for an estimated fee of $2.5M – $4M. The services that will comprise the Contract include civil engineering, technical drawing, landscape architectural and urban design, cost estimating, permitting support, project management, and community outreach and engagement support. Civil engineering services are expected to include stormwater management engineering including hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, transportation engineering, hydrogeologic engineering, structural engineering, and environmental engineering. Specifically excluded from the scope of the Contract are professional land surveying and geotechnical engineering services, which SPU will self-perform.
