Scope of Work:
The Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections (SDCI), seeks the peer review services of one, or more, nationally recognized experts in the structural engineering of high-rise buildings to provide support to SDCI, as a part of the permitting process, on proposals using an alternative lateral-force design procedure. A successful candidate is required to be a licensed professional engineer, having a minimum of five (5) years of experience in structural engineering of high-rise structures.
The work includes the review of the lateral force resisting design, along with other necessary supporting documentation; collaboration with the applicant and SDCI staff, as necessary, to understand and resolve areas of concern or questions; a report regarding the findings of the review and; a written statement regarding the expected seismic performance of the system.
Project Budget: $1,000,000 per contract over 5-year period
