22-039: EAST MARGINAL WAY CORRIDOR IMPROVEMENTS
– NORTH SEGMENT CM SERVICES
The City of Seattle, through Seattle Department of Transportation, requests Statements of Proposals from qualified firms for SDOT 22-039: East Marginal Way Corridor Improvements – North Segment CM Services
The City of Seattle, through Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT), requests Statements of Qualifications, with the goal of hiring for the following key staff: 1 full time Resident Engineer, 1 full time Assistant Resident Engineer, 4 full time Construction Inspectors, 1 quarter time Schedule Review Expert and 1 full time Document Control/Contract Administration Specialist to provide Construction Management (CM) services on the East Marginal Way Corridor Improvements project – North Segment, as part of the overall CM team managing the construction contract for the project.
This project consists of the following major elements of work: Concrete pavement removal and replacement, WMA for protected bicycle lane facility, railroad track removal and replacement, illumination, signals, water main replacement using Earthquake Resistant Ductile Iron Pipe and contaminated soils removal. Other elements include: Sidewalk, curb, curb ramps, clearing and grubbing, signing, channelization, landscaping, and drainage.
Work will be accomplished in accordance with the FHWA reviewed project Plans and Specifications advertised for construction. It is anticipated that this contract will receive federal FHWA funds and therefore will proceed under this assumption.
The Seattle Department of Transportation intends to execute the consultant construction management contract in November 2022, and the contract is expected to be completed in November 2025. This contract is estimated to be approximately $5 million. Completion date may be extended, up to 5-years, if additional phases are added, and may be increased in varying contract dollar amounts. Construction closeout is anticipated to last six (6) months.
