Technical Analysis for Reconnect South Park

The City of Seattle’s Office of Planning and Community Development (OPCD) is requesting proposals for two separate but related bodies of work on the potential removal or restructuring of State Route 99 through South Park, Seattle: 1) the development of a Community Vision Plan, and 2) technical analysis of current conditions and the potential impacts of multiple alternative configurations.  Lead applicants for the Community Vision Plan development body of work must be neighborhood-based organizations active in the Duwamish Valley region of King County, WA.  The technical body of work is open to consultant teams with expertise in urban planning, environmental analysis, and related disciplines. The Community Vision Plan team will lead community engagement activities to inform the project objectives, and the technical team will be responsible for evaluating multiple alternatives using considerations defined through engagement such as mobility, safety, environmental quality, health, and economic opportunity.

Project Budget: $600,000 total.  Up to $300,000 each for the Community Vision Plan development and technical analysis.
