PROJECT LOCATION:  Charles Street Campus – located between 7th and 9th Ave S and S Dearborn Street in Seattle, WA

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The City of Seattle Department of Finance and Administrative Services (FAS), Capital Development Division (CD) seeks consultants to provide architectural/engineering services for electrical service upgrade and electrical improvements to the Charles Street Campus (CSC). The City of Seattle Department of Finance and Administrative Services (FAS), Capital Development division (CD) is responsible for conducting public works projects and associated planning and studies for government and other owned and managed facilities of the City of Seattle.

Upon contract execution, the team will build on preliminary feasibility studies to create a comprehensive design that satisfies the intended use.

Minimum qualifications for this solicitation include the following:

The following are minimum qualifications and licensing requirements the consultant must meet in order to be eligible to submit. Submittals must clearly demonstrate these minimum qualifications. Those that are not clearly responsive to these minimum qualifications shall be rejected without further consideration: 

  1. The Prime Consultant must be licensed to do business in the State of Washington and the City of Seattle. The provisions of any contracts resulting from this selection process must be in full compliance with all applicable laws and ordinances regarding equal employment opportunity and affirmative action. 
  2. The Consultant’s submittal shall indicate the range of projects (minimum three (3) projects) on which the proposing firm has previously worked highlighting its experience with improvements including electrical service upgrades in the last ten (10) years. 
  3. Project experience in compliance with the 2010 ADA Standards for Design, 2009 ANSI A117.1 and all applicable state and local codes.  
  4. Provide (6) total references: (3) previous client / owners; (3) contractors that have worked with the Prime in the last seven (7) years to demonstrate client satisfaction.  Include contact name, phone number, and address and name of project(s).   

The City of Seattle reserves the right to update the minimum qualifications prior to the publish date of the RFQ.
