Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is employing a community-centered approach to delivering services and is seeking a skilled consultant to provide strategic, tactical and logistical support to understand customer needs strategically assisting with development of SPU’s Strategic Business Plan and related initiatives, communications and media relations support, and build partnerships and conduct strategic engagement support. This work supports advancement of SPU corporate priorities, major initiatives and mission objectives in SPU’s 2025-30 Strategic Business Plan and may also assist in developing SPU’s next (2028-33) Strategic Business Plan. The estimated contract total is $600,000.00.
SPU will execute one contract for a period of three (3) years, with the option to extend it up to an additional two (2) years. The contract will be structured as an on-call with varied work assignments ranging from customer surveying, report writing and development, stakeholder engagement and outreach support, strategic planning, communications, advising and research, with a varied schedule of deliverables assigned by the Contract Manager. A specific deliverable schedule is not currently known. SPU does not guarantee any minimum quantity of work under this contract.
