Request for Proposals (RFP) for Volunteer Coordination
Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) is requesting proposals from qualified consultants to lead volunteer coordination efforts with the Green Seattle Partnership.
SPR is responsible for the support of the Green Seattle Partnership’s (GSP) effort to engage the community and manage ecological restoration of 2,500 acres of forested parklands across the city of Seattle. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, volunteer recruitment and event coordination, tracking and reporting, site visits, volunteer appreciation, community outreach and digital engagement, youth engagement, education and training, as well as curriculum development.
SPR anticipates hiring several consultants to support volunteer coordination efforts with contracts ranging from $10,000 to $300,000. This will be a single-year contract, with the possibility of a one-year extension.

The deadline for response is 4:00 pm, September 21, 2018. Mandatory pre-submittal conferences will be held on September 6, 2018 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and September 13, 2018 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Jefferson Horticulture Facility (1600 South Dakota Street Seattle, WA 98108). Prospective bidders are required to attend at least one of these conferences, at which SPR will review the scope of work, consultant expectations, and answer questions from prospective bidders. Written questions related to this RFP are encouraged and shall be directed to Patti Bakker, Green Seattle Partnership Planning and Development Supervisor at patricia.bakker@seattle.gov. Please submit questions no later than 4:00 pm, September 17, 2018. All responses to questions will be issued to all RFP recipients in the form of an addendum to the RFP posted to the website listed above.
