REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS

CONSULTANT SERVICES

 Project: SDOT 14-044: 23rd Ave Corridor Improvements

Construction Management Services – Phase 1

  

The City of Seattle, through Seattle Department of Transportation, requests Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified engineering firms for SDOT 14-044: 23rd Ave Corridor Improvements, Construction Management Services – Phase 1.

 

The anticipated cost for this contract is between $1.0M and 1.4M, with the time of performance expected to be between August 2014 and April 2016. This project is anticipated to have Federal Highway Administration funds and federal terms and conditions will apply.

 

There is a possibility of adding Phase 2 and 3 Construction Management services into this contract. The preliminary information for these future phases is as follows:

  • Phase 2: potential Construction Management services costs at approximately $1.25M; estimated start in Q4 2015 and end inQ3 2017.
  • Phase 3: potential Construction Management services costs at approximately $600k; estimated start in Q4 2015 and end in Q4 2016.

 

Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT), requests statement of qualifications (SOQ) from firms to provide Construction Management services. Categories of consulting services that may be needed for this project include, but are not limited to: Project Manager, Resident Engineer, Chief Inspector, several General Inspectors (at least one HazMat Certified), Document Control/Office Engineer/Contract Administrator.

The Request for SOQ’s packet includes a more detailed Scope of Work, administrative requirements such as subconsulting, insurance, selection process, schedule, etc.

 

SOQ’s must be received by the Seattle Department of Transportation, Attention: Dominic Kirangi, 700 Fifth Avenue, Suite 3800, P. O. Box 34996, Seattle, Washington 98124-4996 by 4:00 p.m., June 16, 2014.

 

Any questions regarding this Request for SOQ’s may be submitted via eBid eXchange. Response to questions will be provided via eBid Addendum.

 

The City of Seattle in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.
