Spokane St. Pump Station Improvements
SPU RFQ/Contract #18-020-S

The City of Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is requesting qualifications from qualified teams of consultants to provide architectural design, engineering, cultural resources, environmental, permitting, and other services as needed to complete the work. These services are needed to plan the removal and replacement of the present Spokane St. Pump Station building shell, keeping pumping equipment and basement piping in-place with minimal disruption and replacement to the existing electrical service for both the pumps and the new building electrical system. Mitigation measures may be required for the removal of the existing building. The estimated cost of this contract is $250,000.

The deadline for submitting Qualifications is 4:00 PM, Monday, September 10, 2018, at the 50^th Floor, Seattle Municipal Tower, 700 Fifth Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104-5058 (USPS: P.O. Box 34018, Seattle, WA 98124-4018).

SPU PRE-SUBMITTAL CONFERENCE: A pre-submittal conference will be held on Monday, August 20, 2018, in Conference Room SMT 4901 (49th Floor) of the Seattle Municipal Tower Building, 700 Fifth Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104 from 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM. Seattle Public Utilities will review the scope of work, consultant expectations, and answer questions from the prospective bidders. Time will be allocated for prospective bidders to network with each other and discuss teaming arrangements. Although attendance at this meeting is not mandatory, attendance is highly encouraged.

Written questions related to this RFQ are encouraged and shall be directed to Sherry Parker, Contract Administrator & SPU’s designated contact person, at sherry.parker@seattle.gov. To facilitate preparation of responses to questions, please submit questions by no later than 2:00 PM, Monday, August 27, 2018.

All responses to questions will be issued to all RFQ recipients in the form of an addendum to this RFQ. Addenda will be posted at https://www.ebidexchange.com/seattle.
