NOTICE OF RFP AND PRE-SUBMITTAL CONFERENCE
THE CITY OF SEATTLE
SEATTLE CITY LIGHT DEPARTMENT
Request for Proposal #SCL-24937
for
On-Call Archaeological & Historical Research Services

The City of Seattle, Seattle City Light Department (“SCL”), seeks to engage consultant(s) in order to provide cultural (archaeology and historic) resource services on a Task Order (aka Work Authorization) basis for City Light Capital and O&M projects in the Seattle service area, hydro-electric generation projects, transmission corridors, receiving substations, or other City Light owned properties. It is the intention of SCL to select multiple consultants and develop general contracts for On-Call Engineering with the consultants. Specific task orders (WA’s) will be developed with individual consultants based on expertise and performance by the consultant.

The Work shall, at all times, be subject to the City’s general review and approval. The Consultant shall confer with the City periodically during the progress of the Work and shall prepare and present such information and materials (e.g. detailed outline of completed Work) as requested by the City to determine the adequacy of the Work or the Consultant’s progress.

SCL encourages firms and consultant teams with expertise in one or more of the specific disciplines contained below to submit a response submittal to this RFP. It is not necessary to provide all services described in the Scope of Work as SCL may select firms based on a specific area of expertise. HUB/WMBE firms are encouraged to respond. The budgeted amount for these on-call consultant contracts is $499,999 to span over a maximum of five years.
