To further advance the City’s digital equity work, the City is providing funds for closed captioning services of live City Council and Council Committee video on the Seattle Channel. Currently this service is not offered in the City.
The purpose of this RFP is to establish, with a qualified vendor, a firm, fixed, hourly rate term contract to provide the closed captioning services on an “as needed basis”. The selected vendor will be required to sign a City of Seattle Consultant Agreement and be in full compliance with the specifications and standards set forth in this request for proposal document.
The process will include a review of proposals, an interview of selected candidates, and a transcription test for the key resource(s) prior to moving to execution of an agreement. A transcription rate of 95% accuracy, or better, will be required.
