Garden Hotline
SPU RFP/Contract# 22-070-S
Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is requesting proposals from qualified consultants or organizations to deliver the Garden Hotline Program, a longstanding community-centered outreach and education program related to sustainable landscaping practices, which includes waste prevention, organics diversion and best uses in the landscape, water quality, and pesticide use prevention. The Garden Hotline is jointly funded by SPU and Hazardous Waste Management Program in King County (Haz Waste), with additional funding from Cascade Water Alliance and King County Wastewater Treatment Division (for RainWise), and therefore serves all of King County.
Work under this contract will be performed starting January 1, 2023, and ending December 31, 2025, with the possibility of extending an additional 3 years. Budget and annual deliverables will be defined in an annual Notice to Proceed for each calendar year. For reference, however, the 2022 budget allocated for tasks 1 and 2 described in the scope of work was approximately $390,000, and an additional $49,051 was allocated for task 3 activities as described in the Scope of Work.
