PROJECT LOCATION: 2061 15th Avenue West Seattle.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The City of Seattle Department of Finance and Administrative Services (FAS), Capital Development Division (CD) seeks consultants to provide architectural/engineering services for the Seattle Animal Shelter Improvements located at 2061 15th Avenue West Seattle. The City of Seattle Department of Finance and Administrative Services (FAS), Capital Development division (CD) is responsible for conducting public works projects and associated planning and studies for government and other owned and managed facilities of the City of Seattle. Upon contract execution, the team will build on existing facility information to create a comprehensive design to improve safety and facility efficiency.
Minimum qualifications for this solicitation include the following:
The following are minimum qualifications and licensing requirements the Consultant must meet in order to be eligible to submit a RFQ response. Submittals must clearly show compliance to these minimum requirements. Those that are not clearly responsive to these minimum qualifications shall be rejected by the City without further consideration:
- The Prime Consultant must be licensed to do business in the State of Washington and the City of Seattle. The provisions of any contracts resulting from this selection process must be in full compliance with all applicable laws and ordinances regarding equal employment opportunity and affirmative action.
- The Consultant’s submittal shall indicate the range of projects (minimum three (3) projects) on which the proposing firm has previously worked highlighting its specialty in the last seven (7) years.
- Project experience in compliance with the 2010 ADA Standards for Design, 2009 ANSI A117.1 and all applicable state and local codes.
- Provide at least two (2) references each from 3 (3) clients or contractors and subconsultants that have worked with the Prime in the last seven (7) years to demonstrate client satisfaction. Include contact name, phone number, and address and name of project(s).
The City of Seattle reserves the right to update the minimum qualifications prior to the publish date of the RFQ.

Consultant selection for this RFQ will be subject to all applicable laws and ordinances. The participation of women- and minority-owned firms is a high priority cultural value of the City of Seattle and is strongly encouraged.
