REQUEST FOR STATEMENTS OF QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) #CD 2023-022
On-Call Waterproofing, Envelope and Roofing Diagnosis and Design Services
PROJECT LOCATION: Various – throughout the Facilities and Administrative Services (FAS ) Capital Development (CD) Building Portfolio
Project Description: The City of Seattle Department of Finance and Administrative Services (FAS), Capital Development and Division (CD) seeks consultants to provide waterproofing, envelope and roofing diagnosis services for general facilities projects located throughout Seattle. Selected firms may be large or small, with various areas of specialty. CD is pursuing on-call contracts with consultant firms especially for those scopes of work for which the skills of a full design team are not needed.
Minimum qualifications for this solicitation include the following:
The following is the minimum qualification the consultant must meet in order to be eligible to submit and for any contract that is awarded. Submittals must clearly demonstrate this minimum qualification. Those that are not clearly responsive to this minimum qualification shall be rejected without further consideration:
- Consultant has completed at least 3 projects that included waterproofing, envelope and roofing diagnosis and design services in the last 10 years.
Additional Desired Consultant Qualifications
The following are desired qualifications the consultant is requested to submit as an Executive Summary of Consultant Qualifications. Responses will be considered in scoring submittals.
- Project experience documentation and range of services in all that apply to demonstrate expertise in:
a. Specific tools, experience and/or processes for cost estimating
b. design advisory consultation
c. existing conditions, inspections, and reporting.
d. specifying and detailing waterproofing system - Project experience in compliance with the 2010 ADA Standards for Design, 2009 ANSI A117.1 and all applicable state and local codes
- Consultant personnel and consultant resources must be available for frequent project site visits, client visits, have a clear understanding of Section 6 Contract Modifications below and section 6.2 Reimbursables included in the sample City of Seattle boilerplate agreement attached.
The City of Seattle reserves the right to update the minimum qualifications prior to the publish date of the RFQ.
